Stevenage Dogwatch
Doggie Day 25th September
2011
Here is the Dog watch team with Nikki and CC, the Hertfordshires Fire dog with the ever watchful Dog watch Douglas.
The weather was very kind to us on the 25th September our First 'Doggie Day' at the Town Centre Gardens. Jill from
Valley Vets (who are in partnership with Stevenage Dog watch) came along to give advice on the importance of
responsible dog ownership. Her first time on the PA, and judging the Best veteran class, she did fab!
Thanks to Hearts Services for covering our first aid again, free of charge! If anyone needs first aid cover for
school fetes/events etc have a look at our links and you will find them there. Gemma the Dog watch deputy judged
the show and of course Ron, Keith, Jackie, Mark and Dave from our Safer Neighbourhood Team. Wrayfield Agility club
(which if you don't know, this is where Douglas and Bella go to).
Eric and his children’s rides, such a lovely family. Phil and his jacket potatos....lovely! And not to
mention Mark and his Home Fare cakes, coffee and Walnut cake went down a treat. Thanks to all the stall holders for
coming along and making the day the success that it was. Chris Paterson, we were a cracking team. And a BIG thank
you to another partner to Dog watch Pets at Home for the prizes. A total of £296 was raised for 'Hearing dogs for
the deaf'. Here are a few photos of the day
